Last year Alison told OK! magazine how her mum was a pivotal part of Christmas day and that she spent the festive season with her.

She said: ”I’ll be honest, I just do the vegetables and gravy because I can't be bothered.

“My mum gets up at like 2am to cook a turkey. It's crazy. I'm not doing that. I need my beauty sleep!

"[My favourite part of Christmas is] waking up and seeing my son Aiden's face when he sees all the presents. He's asked for Xbox games and a new phone.

"We all want to update all the time, but until it's broken he won't be getting a new one. However, Santa steps in, buys him what he wants and ruins everything.

“He does my head in! Also, watching films like The Sound Of Music and Miracle On [pauses] … is it 34th? I don't know what it is. Cut that bit out, and just say it's my favourite."
