Angelina Jolie, 45, is said to be prepared to give “proof” of alleged domestic violence against her estranged husband Brad Pitt, 57. The Mr. & Mrs. Smith stars, who share children Maddox, 19, Pax, 17, and Zahara, 16, Shiloh, 14, and twins Knox and Vivienne, 12, together, announced their decision to separate in 2016.
However, they have since been involved in complex divorce proceedings concerning custody and property disagreements.
According to court documents obtained by The Blast, Angelina has filed several documents which say the actress is ready to give “proof and authority in support” of Brad’s alleged domestic abuse during their marriage.
A source close to Brad has told US Weekly that the actor believes Jolie’s latest filing is an attempt at “weaponizing their children in a last-ditch effort to gain a favorable outcome that will allow her to move the kids out of Los Angeles at her whim, without Brad’s approval or knowledge.”
The source also says, “This process had taken a toll on Brad, and he has taken accountability for his role in the breakdown of the marriage.”

They added that Pitt “never” laid a hand on any of the children he and Jolie, 45, share, or her.
But it is a source close to Brad quote – the publication doesn’t say it’s from a rep.
Express.co.uk has contacted representatives for Brad and Angelina for comment.
It comes after Angelina claimed in recent interviews that she and Brad split for their family’s “well-being”.
The Maleficent star filed for divorce from Brad in September 2016, citing irreconcilable differences.
The former couple had been married for two years and had also spent 12 years together.
Following the news of their separation in 2016, it was alleged that Brad and his then-15-year-old son Maddox had an “argument”, which “escalated” on the family’s private plane.
A source at the time claimed that Brad had been “drunk, and there was an argument between him and Angelina…
“There was a parent-child argument which was not handled in the right way and escalated more than it should have,” they claimed.

However the Los Angeles County Department of Children and Family Services launched an investigation into the Hollywood actor at the time, according to The Cut.
The investigation was later dropped and Brad was cleared of any criminal wrongdoing.
The FBI also investigated the allegations involving Maddox and said that he would not be charged with any crime.
They said in a statement: “In response to allegations made following a flight… carrying Mr Brad Pitt and his children, the FBI has conducted a review of the circumstances and will not pursue further investigation. No charges have been filed in this matter.”
Elsewhere, Angelina recently spoke out about the reasons behind her split from Brad in an interview with British Vogue last year.
The actress explained it was “the right decision” for her family and that she continues “to focus on their healing”.
She told the publication: “Some have taken advantage of my silence, and the children see lies about themselves in the media, but I remind them that they know their own truth and their own minds.”
“In fact, they are six very brave, very strong young people,” the star added of her children.
Angelina has since moved into a home in LA, which was previously owned by Cecil B Demille.
She explained she chose the property as it was very close to Brad, in order for the children to be able to see him.
“I wanted it to be close to their dad, who is only five minutes away,” she said.
Angelina continued while discussing her new home: “I felt a little pressure moving in. Like I had snuck into where DeMille and Chaplin would hang out.
“I love most that there is no entertainment room, but lots of pathways and places to walk and think. I feel very fortunate we have that at this time.”
