Anneka Rice is well known for her BBC One series Challenge Anneka which ran from the late Eighties into the early Nineties. Tonight (Saturday, June 4) she will feature in a celebrity edition of Pointless but what is known of Anneka’s life away from the spotlight?

Is Anneka Rice married?

Anneka was previously married to Nick Allott after the pair tied the knot in 1988.

The pair share two adult sons together Thomas and Joshua.

After four years, Anneka and Nick were reported to have separated in 1992.

However, in a shock admission in 2014, Anneka revealed that the two had never got divorced.

Talking to Sebastian Shakespeare for the Daily Mail, Anneka said: “Everyone thinks we’re divorced, but we’re not.

“It’s no big deal interviewing him because we’re friends.”

Nick has also previously spoken of how their decision not to divorce suits them.

He added: “I don’t think it’s anyone else’s business why we’ve taken the decision to stay married after all this time.

“Maybe people think it’s weird. We have our reasons. It suits us. We are civilized people.”

Talking about her marital status to the Telegraph, Anneka said she and Nick will divorce one day.

Anneka explained: “We will get around to divorcing.

“Most people get divorced because they are always arguing about money.

“When Nick and I split up, I was the breadwinner; I was paying the school fees.

“He had a good job, so money was never discussed, therefore what is there to argue about?

“We will do it one day, but God knows when.”

Currently, it is not known whether Anneka and Nick have since gotten divorced.

Anneka went on to date TV Executive Tom Gutteridge and gave birth to her third son in 1997.

Anneka is currently reported to be dating long-term partner Simon Bell and they have been together since 2005.
