Dani Dyer has admitted that it is "hard" being a single mum to her baby boy Santiago, just weeks after her ex Sammy Kimmence was sentenced to 42 months in prison for fraud.

The former Love Island star, 25, took part in a candid Q&A on her Instagram on Sunday where she praised her "amazing" family and "support system".

Dani was asked by one of her 3.4million followers: "Do you struggle on your own with a baby?".

To which she replied with: "I have such an amazing support system! Which I'm so grateful for they give me so much help when needed and I think I need to realise I shouldn't be ashamed to ask for help… if I need a few hours off then I won't feel bad to ask anymore…"

Dani added: "Don't get me wrong it is hard but I am so lucky that I've got an amazing family who love Santi so much xxx."

It comes after the star admitted that she is "anxious" and has been struggling to sleep in a candid YouTube Vlog earlier this week as she prepared to jet off on her son Santiago’s first holiday in Majorca.

Revealing that her sleep has been “really bad” and “unsettled” recently, Dani told the camera: “I’m really excited, but I’m a bit nervous.

“I’ve had anxiety all day but I’m just really excited, his first holiday. We have got to be up really early, and the sleeping this week has been really bad for me. I’ve just not slept very well at all and very unsettled so I’m just been a bit like not really there.”

Adding that she hopes the break will do her some good, she added: “I’m hoping this holiday will make me feel really good and refreshed.”

Sammy, 25, was sentenced on July 14 after pleading guilty to five counts of fraud and scamming two elderly pensioners out of their life savings.

Only recently, Dani enjoyed a family holiday with her EastEnders star father Danny Dyer, her mum Joanne Mas, sister Sunny, 14, brother Arty, seven, and her grandparents, including her granddad "Bruv". She has since returned home.

Elsewhere, Dani’s Vlog also saw her admit that Santi, who was born at the end of January, hasn’t been sleeping well either.

The night before the holiday, Dani said: “I’m going to go to bed. I really hope we both sleep tonight. He just doesn’t sleep at the minute, it’s really sad.”

But Dani’s mum Jo was on hand during their first night of holiday to help out with baby duties so the former Love Island star could catch up on sleep.

“My mum had the baby for me as well which was just perfect so I could have a full night’s sleep because I don’t know the last time I slept solidly,” she admitted.

Dani continued: “Because obviously now he’s gone into his big boy cot at home and it’s just made me ill because I just keep thinking the worst and keep checking on him and it’s made me paranoid.”
