Meghan Markle, 40, shared several insights into her private life as a mother of two during her candid interview on the Ellen DeGeneres Show which aired yesterday. Good Morning Britain host Alex Beresford, 41, took a dig at The Duchess’ critics in a candid tweet today.

The weather presenter said he believed that even if Meghan had remained silent, critics would still have discussions about her.

In view of his 247,000 followers, Alex penned: “Meghan Markle could have gone on Ellen, stayed silent and her critics would have heard her say something and would still be talking about her today.

“The Duchess is keeping so many people relevant.”

The GMB star was quickly inundated with messages with some people agreeing with Alex.

Twitter user, WSen remarked: “Well said @alexberesfordTV.”

Janet Mackintosh commented: “Exactly. Well said.”

“Louder Alex, louder!! Should have used all caps for this tweet,” Mc_Jim tweeted.

His comments come after Meghan’s appearance on the Ellen show was a talking point on GMB today.

Meghan had a sit down with US chat show host Ellen just eight months after her bombshell interview with Oprah Winfrey, since leaving the Royal Family.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex relocated to California after they announced they would be stepping down as senior royals.

Meghan shared some insight about their children, Archie and Lilibet, who she has chosen to keep out of the spotlight.

They are yet to share a photo of their daughter, now five months, who was named with a nod to the Queen’s nickname.

The Duchess also revealed that she and Prince Harry are “happy” living in the US.

She also dished on the realities of motherhood and life raising two children.

She told how Archie “loves being a big brother” to Lili.

Meghan said: “Someone told H (Harry) and I that when you have one kid it’s a hobby, and two children is parenting.

“Suddenly we realised, ‘oh right’, everyone talks about what it’s like for the second child but no one talks about the adjustment for the first child when the second one comes along.

“I think they have that moment of, ‘oh, this is fun, oh, this is how it is now’.”

The Duchess also talked about how Lili was teething, adding “anything to relieve that” before the host joked she could use tequila.

Meghan replied: “That’s Auntie Ellen for you.”
