Fans rushed to the comments section to share their love and well wishes with the actor and his love ones.
“So grateful you and your family are healthy @therock. Respect highly how open and honest you are with the world about your experiences,” one praised.
Another said: “Thank you for speaking your truth! As a frontline nurse in a hospital there is NOTHING more disheartening than clocking out from work, then walking outside only to see members of your community CONTINUE to congregate in large groups with NO MASKS ON! You need to say this louder for the people in the back!”
“Glad to hear you and your family on are the mend, and thank you for transparency in dealing with it! Great advice for all of us who are feeling cooped up and have a need to socialise, to remember not to let our guard down!” a third pointed out.
Others took a different approach and encouraged the Hollywood legend to “stick to acting” rather than venturing into politics.
“Seriously why did you get in the middle of this because you’re a great example and now you’re gonna pull politics in with this crap,” one snapped.
A second added: “Masks do nothing!”
