Gap’s Sales Went Up Thanks to Steve Kornacki’s Khakis on MSNBC’s Election Coverage!
The world fell in love with Steve Kornacki while watching his coverage of the 2020 presidential election on MSNBC and people couldn’t help but notice he was always wearing the same khakis.
It was later discovered Steve‘s khakis were purchased from Gap and now the company is reporting an uptick in sales this week.
A spokesperson for the brand told The Today Show that there was a “dramatic increase in online traffic and within a day, we saw around 90% unit sale increase online.”
New York Magazine‘s shopping section The Strategist studied the color of Kornacki‘s pants and determined that he’s wearing the “Palomino brown” color. This specific color of khakis come in the “Modern Khakis in Slim Fit with GapFlex” and the “Modern Khakis in Straight Fit with GapFlex.” You can get them now on sale for $29 for slim fit and $32 for straight fit, from an original price of $59.95.
