He burst into the Geordie Shore house in 2011, and as well as his television career, James Tindale has become a fitness coach and set up his own fitness platform called James Tindale fitness.

The reality star, who spoke about Geordie Shore's 10-year reunion, opened up about what prompted him to change his lifestyle and how it led him to start his own platform to help others.

Speaking exclusively to OK! Online, the 30 year old revealed: "I think when I was at school, I was a big lad, I was quite chunky, I was quite chubby and you know what kids are like, they used to call me 'fatty' and I didn't like it.

"I remember I went into one of the shops and I saw one of the men's fitness magazines on the wall, and I went, 'That's what I need to look like'.

"I was 15 or 16 at the time, and I wanted girls to fancy us, so I said I was gonna do it," he explained.

"One of my goals was to be in one of the men's fitness magazines, and I managed to do that a few years ago, I got a three-page spread."

After working on his own fitness, the Newcastle native began receiving compliments from his pals and was asked for tips from other people at the gym, which led to him training to be a fitness coach.

He continued: "So I did all my training qualifications in 2013 and at the time I was in Geordie Shore still, but I didn't see myself being in TV forever.

"I thought, 'This is my passion', I really enjoy it, I want to do this as well, so I set up my own fitness platform and as the years went on, it grew and grew.

"To the point where now I have my own app and I have clients all over the world."

When asked how it makes him feel knowing the help he's giving to others, James expressed: "It's the best feeling in the world, there's no other feeling like it.

"It helps me as well, especially in lockdown. I've been at home, the weather's been c**p, you don't really wanna go out anywhere, but because I've been helping all of these clients, their positive energy and them saying, 'I can't believe how much you've changed my outlook on things', it gives me a buzz."

The online coach, who quit Geordie Shore in 2015 before returning in 2019, has the show to thank for his success, but his real passion is fitness.

"This is what I wanna do for the rest of my life. I always say TV and Geordie Shore are a bonus. I treat Geordie Shore like a holiday," James said.

"I'll have three weeks off work, go on Geordie Shore and then I'll come back and that's my parting out of my the way, I can get back into the gym and train my clients."

James is currently running his own coaching and fitness business, which includes tailored workouts, meal plans and so much more. Visit for more information.
