Gino DAcampo caught with cannabis after flying with Gordon Ramsay on private jet

Gino D’Acampo was reportedly given a warning by police after being found to have cannabis on him at the airport.

The celebrity chef was returning home to the UK from filming his show with Fred Sirieix and Gordon Ramsay – which he’s since quit due to “contract issues”.

The trio had been in Spain filming Gordon, Gino and Fred: Road Trip, and his co-stars were “pretty cross” with the Italian TV favourite after he was caught at the airport.

Allegedly a small box of the class B drug was found in Gino’s luggage by the dogs, but he was let off with a warning as it was for medicinal use.

“Gordon, Fred and Gino were all held for some time by Border Force, as Gino initially tried to laugh it off,” a source told The Sun.

“Eventually, it was clear who the dogs were after, and Gino went away with uniformed police for questioning. It was Gino’s bags that were stopped and searched, and a small box with some weed inside was found.”

They went on to claim that Gino told Fred and Gordon that he’d been smoking weed to help with his bad back, but the pair weren’t happy to have been mixed up in the drama.

OK! have contacted Fred, Gordon and Gino’s reps for comment.

Despite the popularity of their show, the most recent series that’s been filmed will be their last as a trio.

Explaining his reasons for stepping away from the programme, Gino explained to fans earlier this month: “Last week I decided not to film any more Gordon, Gino and Fred's Road Trip, the reason is simple, nothing to do with Gordon and Fred – the friendship is very strong.

"It’s just because we can’t get the dates together and sometimes when we do get the dates together sometimes they get changed and it causes a lot of problems for me because I have other stuff that I have to do."

He went on: "Personal problems as well because when I have to change things with my family it is very complicated and also because contracts.

"Because contracts start to become very complicated and very stressful, I personally value the friendship with Gordon and Fred so much that I would rather the friendship than arguments with the contract.

"So I have decided not to do it anymore because I want to be friends with the boys for many, many years ahead."

Fred is said to have been “blindsided” by the Italian chef’s decision to leave the show. It remains unclear how close pal Gordon has reacted.
