‘I drank more than ever on TOWIE to gain confidence,’ admits Georgia Harrison

Georgia Harrison starred on The Only Way is Essex for one season back in 2014, as fans will remember her friendship with Georgia Kousoulou and Tommy Mallet.

And after quitting the show, Georgia, 28, looked back on her time filming with the Essex crowd with OK!, saying she felt she needed to drink a lot to "get some confidence".

She shared: "I definitely think I drank more than ever during my time in TOWIE because I was nervous about filming.

"I was with all these big characters like Gemma Collins, the Wrights – I felt like I needed a drink or two to get some confidence."

Back in 2021, Georgia previously spoke of leaving the show on her Instagram, as she referred to her younger self as a "nightmare".

Admitting that she was constantly drinking on set, Georgia explained: "I was always drinking on set. They had to actually cut a couple of my scenes because literally, I was so drunk you couldn’t even understand me.”

The Love Island star added: "I was just young and nervous; it is what it is.”

Georgia starred on Love Island back in 2017, where fans will recall her deciding to couple up with the winner of the series – Kem Cetinay.

Georgia went on to couple up with Sam Gowland during her time in the villa, but she is currently single after splitting from her mystery boyfriend.

One fan asked Georgia in an Instagram Q&A: "Still single?"

The blonde beauty then said: "As of recently … yes I am."

Georgia met her former beau at Glastonbury festival, as she told the MailOnline: "It’s a mad story and I think it was fate personally.

"We met, and as soon as I met him I just had a feeling that I’ve never felt with most people I’ve ever met."

It was Georgia’s first relationship since splitting with Stephen Bear, 33, who in December was found guilty of posting an explicit video of the two of them on OnlyFans. He has since been jailed for 21 months for voyeurism and two counts of “revenge porn”.

Georgia was supported by many after delivering an empowering speech following the sentencing of her ex-boyfriend, Stephen.

"I'm happy and relieved that this matter is finally over", she said. "I want to let all other victims of this crime know that I stand in solidarity with them, and I have absolutely no regrets about waiving my anonymity."

She continued: "I hope that this puts anyone off committing this sort of crime and I hope for anyone else who has been victim of it (that) it gives them some sort of justice.”
