James Argent shows off impressive boxing skills as he says he’s ‘getting fitter by the day’

James Argent said the weight is “coming off” as he was praised for his fitness video as he gets in shape following a difficult journey with his body, which he has documented.

Taking to social media, the reality TV star was seen in the ring as he flaunted his recent weight loss while proving his fitness is better than ever while training at Peacocks Gym.

Gemma Collins’ on-off boyfriend wrote alongside the clip: “Verified I can’t believe it’s not @andy_destroyer13 He’s not the only fat guy with serious speed & power! Lol. I’m slowly getting back to where I used to be! The weight is coming off & I’m getting fitter by the day! #healthylifestyle If I decided to box in 2020…Who would you like to see me fight!?”

The 31-year-old was praised as he continues to shed weight, with one fan writing: “Amazing! Go on Arg. You can do this!” While a second wrote: “Looking amazing Arg, well done!”

It comes after reports that Arg has asked boxing pro Tyson Fury to help him with losing weight, as he prepares to swim The English Channel for new Channel 4 show Sink or Swim.

A source told The Sun: “He has asked Tyson if he can help him shift the pounds because if he doesn’t do something drastic, his health is at risk.

"He is great friends with Tyson, and he has agreed to help him out. Arg gets on much better when he is doing something he enjoys, like being in a boxing gym."

They added: ‘Tyson has said he can give him tips and advice to train efficiently. He said diet and discipline was a key factor and that is where Arg really needs to sort himself out."

Over the years, the reality star's weight has yo-yoed dramatically, losing an impressive four stone in 2015, before putting it back on, and losing it again in 2017.

The The Only Way Is Essex star has also experimented with diets and fitness boot camps since joining the show in 2010, both on-screen and behind the scenes.

And during an interview on This Morning, he was urged to lose 10 stone in weight by Dr Ranj in order to get back down to a healthy BMI.
