James Bond's 'daughter getting spy franchise by Phoebe Waller-Bridge'
James Bond is set to become a dad in No Time To Die – with his daughter set to ‘follow in his footsteps’.
It has been claimed that the upcoming 007 film will reveal the spy, currently played by Daniel Craig, has a five-year-old daughter, named Mathilde.
And, according to reports, she will be given her own spin-off franchise, produced by Phoebe Waller-Bridge.
‘Bond bosses are very excited about 007 having a daughter and creating a new franchise around her,’ an insider said.
‘It is likely to feature Bond conflicted over having to train her up as an assassin combined with Waller-Bridge’s trademark black humour, shown in Killing Eve.
‘She may just offer ideas and co-produce as roles are yet to be decided, but bosses are keen to give her a big part in the film’s production.’

In fact, the source added to the Mirror that making the spy a dad ‘opened up a whole avenue of powerful moments’.
But it seems there are some Bond stars who aren’t quite thrilled about those potential ‘powerful moments’.
In fact, former Bond girl Britt Ekland isn’t keen on the idea of 007 starting a family, insisting that he needs to remain an ‘old fashioned bachelor’.
During a recent appearance on Good Morning Britain, she told Piers Morgan and Susanna Reid: ‘I think that Bond should probably be a little bit more untouchable.
‘He’s a fantasy, and you know everyone says Bond girls and how important we are. But the Bond man, every big “do” I go to, everyone wants to be Bond.
‘I think after everything we’ve been through, particularly this year, it would be wonderful if they turned back in time and turned a little bit more to the traditional, old-fashioned, bachelor, pipe-smoking.
‘You know I love a vain man.’
Good to know…
No Time To Die is slated to be released on 12 November.
