John Torode, 56, returned to Celebrity MasterChef recently, distracting some fans with his shaggy hairstyle. His appearance was met with cruel comments on Twitter, but now the chef has opted for a very different look.
He looks so bl**dy handsome, I had to put him on my grid
John’s wife, Lisa Faulkner, 49, took to Instagram on Tuesday to share the makeover with her 292,000 followers.
She said: “My husband @johntorodecooks has finally had a haircut and he looks so bl**dy handsome I had to put him on my grid!! Woo hoo!
“Thank you @cilerpeksah_hairstylist he looks blooming gorgeous.”
Lisa won Celebrity MasterChef in 2010 where she met John and they married in 2019.
Celebrity friends rushed to the comments to show their love for the couple.
Vicky Pattison, who has also appeared in the BBC series, said simply: “You two.”
Author Jack Monroe continued: “Just love you two.”
Fans were also quick to the comments to tell Lisa what they thought of John’s new look.
One said: “So much better than the curtains LOL xx.”(sic)
Another added: “He looks 20 years younger!!”
Before his makeover during the show’s airtime, Twitter was full of comments about John’s chosen hairstyle.
A viewer tweeted: “Catching up on MasterChef. What on earth has John Torode done to his hair?
“Don’t have to ask that about Greg Wallace.”(sic)
Another commented: “#CelebrityMasterChef John Torode looks so different with that floppy hair and centre parting.”
One fan said: “John Torode’s 90s boyband hair is awful #curtains.”
Another tweet said: “John Torode is using the grease from his hair for the stir fry!!”
John is currently presenting Celebrity MasterChef alongside Gregg, with the most recent episode starring the likes of Katie Price, Joe Swash, Dion Dublin and Melissa Johns.
They tested their culinary skills, with the latter failing to impress the judges before being sent home ahead of the semi-finals.
This decision was blasted by fans of the hit show, due to her being kicked out because of mistakes she made with her final dish.
One fan said: “Sorry that’s a joke #CelebrityMasterChef.
“Why bother having other rounds over the hour then kick out someone solely on the final dish? Totally wrong decision.”
Watch Celebrity MasterChef tonight on BBC One at 9pm.
