Kerry Katona and son test positive for Covid as daughter DJ cries as she can’t hug her
Kerry Katona was near to tears as she told fans she’d tested positive for Covid.
The former Atomic Kitten singer, 41, took to Instagram to share the news that both her and son Max, 13, had tested positive for the virus.
Daughters Dylan-Jorge, seven, and Heidi, 14, meanwhile, have tested negative for the virus, which left DJ “crying” as she couldn’t hug her mum.
Posting a photo of two positive tests to her Instagram story, Kerry – who recently had her car stolen while Christmas shopping – wrote: “So my PCR came back inconclusive so I did another lateral flow test. Both me and Max have tested positive! Heidi and DJ negative! Also my mum has tested positive too!”
Kerry added: “Really not sure how to deal with this! DJ is crying because she can’t come near me!”
The singer and reality star then posted a follow up video, where she looked stressed as she tried to figure out what to do in light of the news.
“I”m not sure how this is all gonna work with everyone in the house, trying to look after everybody and the dogs,” she said. “I feel like s**t.”
She added how she was glad she trusted her “gut instinct” to pull out of a pantomime performance, where she’s currently playing the role of Carabosse in Sleeping Beauty at Oldham’s Queen Elizabeth Hall.
“Something said to me not to go to panto and I’m so glad I didn’t go because I would have given everybody else Covid and ruined their Christmas as well. So I’m glad I didn’t go, but I’m gutted. This is not how I wanted to spend Christmas, the same as thousands of other people”.
Kerry’s daughter DJ then is heard off camera approaching her mum and getting upset, to which Kerry replies: “DJ you cannot come any closer to me… I know, DJ, but you have to understand that you can’t, darling. I know, you can’t let me move out of the way.”
It comes after both Kerry’s daughter Molly and fiance Ryan Mahoney also tested positive for Coronavirus.
It’s not the first time Kerry has had to overhaul her plans for Christmas this year, after her car was stolen while she was out doing some Christmas shopping.
Speaking to OK!, Kerry said: "I am traumatised my car was stolen right in front of me. It was horrible. I watched my car drive off before me all the way to the bottom of the road.
"I had £300 worth of presents in the back of the car. What triggered me, even more, is that I’ve been burgled before. It massively triggered me because the police said you’ve probably been targeted and have been watched. That’s what I don’t like, it really scares me."
Kerry went on to say that people who witnessed her car being stolen were "so good to her" as her daughters Heidi and DJ were screaming and crying as the thief drove off out of the Elk Mill Shopping Park.
"Two Louis Vuitton bags are in there. There were thousands worth in the car. Toys and iPads as well," the 41 year old added.
"People saw it happen in front of them. They were so good to me when it happened because I was shaking. People were standing with my kids while I ran off."
Kerry went on to say that she ran off after the car and left her children behind her as she was in so much shock over what was going on before her.
"What really bothers me is I left my kids to run off for my car. I had Heidi and DJ with me. The kids were screaming, crying. It was awful," she recalled.
Kerry later explained how she and her children were feeling days later, adding that Heidi is still in a lot of shock.
"I feel like I’ve let loads of people down. Heidi is still traumatised from it," she shared.
"She said DJ tried to run after me and she pulled her back by her hood so she didn’t run off.
"I’m so shaken up. I can’t believe how everything just fell apart like that."
