Kylie Jenner slammed by fans who are left feeling sick as she wears lion head to fashion show

Fans of Kylie Jenner were left "feeling sick" after she wore a lion's head to a show at Paris Fashion Week.

The model and businesswoman, 25, who recently revealed her son's new name, was snapped leaving a star-studded Schiaparelli show sporting the unusual, and for many fans, unnecessary accessory.

The lion's head was part of a simple ensemble, with Kylie in a figure-hugging black dress and gold heels, with her hair in a high pony with a sweeping side fringe.

Despite the reception in Paris, and with many fans praising the outfit, Kylie has faced major backlash for her outfit from others.

Some followers and animal cruelty advocates took to social media to call out her choice to wear a lion's head, stating that it is "not a fashion statement".

Posting underneath several snaps of the outfit on her Instagram, one fan wrote: "Kylie I love your style but this is wrong, this promotes animal cruelty. It is a terrible fashion mistake! Please stop!"

Another wrote: "I’m all for people pushing the boundaries of fashion and making a statement… But I don’t think this is giving what you think it is."

"Why would you walk around with a lion head when it’s still be hunted and poached … we should not display them like trophies …. So sad," wrote another, while one enraged fan posted: "Animals are not a game and neither are they fashion, be it real or lies you encourage this disrespect and cruelty!!! You've lost a follower."

While it's thought the lion head is man-made, many fans couldn't understand the reason behind it.

"This is so dumb, manmade or not. Why are we using heads of animals for fashion," questioned one follower.

Another added: "Even if it’s faux. I just don’t like it, I don’t like the statement it’s sending out for lion poaching."

"Even though this is not real this is still problematic and unnecessary," wrote another.

"Anything that promotes the commodification of animals and insinuates that their skin is something to be worn and glorified is just plain wrong.

"Big game hunting is still prevalent and considering how more species are becoming threatened or extinct every year just adds to how harmful it is. These fashion houses need to stop trying to be controversial and cloaking it in a guise of ‘creativity’."

This backlash comes amid rumours that Kylie has split from long-term love Travis Scott, and having finally revealed her son's new name.

When he was born in February 2022, the couple named him Wolf, but publicly backtracked on the name when they decided it didn't suit him.

Over the weekend, Kylie took to Instagram with a picture of her son, simply captioned: "AIRE".

Her son's name may have been inspiration for her outspoken outfit, as Aire is actually a name with Hebrew origins, and means “Lion of God”.
