Love Island fans spot huge blunder as Gemma Owen switches outfits twice in one scene

Eagle-eyed Love Island fans spotted a blunder after contestant Gemma Owen was seen rocking two different outfits in one scene on Monday night.

Viewers caught the 19 year old flipping looks in the episode, wearing a skin-tight white dress one moment, and then a pink crop top and a pair of light brown cargo trousers the next — leaving many confused.

At one point, Gemma was seen walking next to partner on the show Luca Bish, 23, in the dress, before she was filmed sat next to him wearing the cargo trousers in what appeared to be an editing mishap.

Fans quickly took to social media to address the abrupt outfit changes from the dressage champion, as one person tweeted: “Anyone else notice Gemma’s magic outfit changes from trousers to white dress in the space of a conversation #loveisland?”

“Why is Gemma wearing trousers and a top in one shot then a dress then back to the trousers??” a second fan wrote, as someone else commented: “Did Gemma just go from wearing a dress to wearing trousers to wearing a dress?? #LoveIsland.”

A fourth added: “Did anyone else notice Gemma’s outfit went from Cargos to a dress then back to cargos again????? Glitch in the matrix or what #LoveIsland.”

Gemma has had quite the awkward week in Love Island after her ex Jacques O’Neill made an entrance, although the rugby player made it clear during his arrival that he had moved on from the horse rider.

It didn’t look like Gemma had quite however on Tuesday night’s episode, after she accidentally called current partner Luca her ex boyfriend’s name as he was rubbing her shoulders in one scene.

Gemma glanced at her fellow surrounding Islanders in immediate embarrassment as they were left audibly shocked along with Luca, who walked away in frustration.

“That was bad, wasn’t it?” Gemma asked them.

Contestant Paige Thorne replied: “That was bad, I am not gonna lie, he was stood there, you had your guy rubbing your shoulders, he’s stood there and you’re like… ‘Oh Jacques.’”

The mood in the villa following the name slip-up went from bad to worse, after Gemma attempted to apologise to Luca, who wasn’t trying to hear it at first, causing her to snap back as she said: "Don't roll your eyes at me and be a p***k.

“It was a genuine mistake, I'm sorry. There's nothing more to it."

The couple eventually made up and recovered from the awkward moment.
