Love Island star rushed to hospital in excruciating pain

Andrea Jane Bunker, 30, known as AJ, took to Instagram yesterday to issue a health update, after suffering from “excruciating” pains in her back and abdomen.

The former Love Island contestant left fans concerned as she shared a photo of herself connected to an IV, after undergoing “a number of tests”.

Along with the snap, AJ explained in a lengthy statement her ordeal after initially “ignoring” worsening pains that resulted in a hospital dash.

AJ has since been discharged after spending 12 hours in urgent care, while healthcare professionals conducted medical checks.

She said: “Thank you for all the messages. Over the last few days I developed pain in my back and abdomen.

“I didn’t think much of it and just ignored it. However last night it became excruciatingly painful at the point of needing to go to hospital.”

AJ continued: “I was in urgent care for 12 hours undergoing a number of tests and put on an IV.

“I’ve now been discharged however need to go back for a few days for an ultrasound.”

The TV personality concluded her message by urging fans to get checked out as soon as they start experiencing symptoms.

AJ, who rose to fame thanks to her appearance in the hit ITV2 dating show, thanked the professionals who helped her in her hour of need.
