The coronavirus pandemic has swept across the globe this year and the real impact of that has seriously hit home with singer Peter Andre in recent days.

In his column for new magazine, the 47-year-old father-of-four opened up about his young son Theo’s concerns over the virus.

At just three years old, Theo is Pete’s youngest son with his wife Emily Andrea.

"There are so many terrible things going on right now," Peter lamented.

"The other day something happened that made me really sad and brought home the situation that we’re in.”

Pete goes on to explain how, when Theo coughed, he was immediately worried and said: “I need to have a corona test.”

Saddened by his son’s awareness and anxiety of the virus, Peter revealed he was shocked to see that that was "the first thing he thought of."

“It made me sad that he would think a cough is bad,” said Pete. “But of course it’s unavoidable with the current situation.”

Pete and Emily are managing to get their family out and about to keep their spirits up during the second English lockdown.

The pair have one other child together, Amelia (aka ‘Millie’), six, and Emily co-parents Peter’s other two children, Junior, 15 and Princess, 13 from his marriage to Katie Price.

“It’s been great that we’ve been able to get out a lot more during this lockdown,” Pete admitted, referring to the slightly less stringent restrictions than those imposed in the spring.

“It’s so important for the kids – those days out are the ones they remember,” he muses.

Pete also shared an adorable snap he took of “Ems and Millie” while they were on their bike ride.

“Millie really is her mum through and through,” he gushed.
