Peter Thomas Roth’s ex-wife and mother settle feud over $500K diamond
A family feud has been settled between skin-care mogul Peter Thomas Roth’s 96-year-old mom, Carole, and his estranged wife, Noreen, after Carole accused his ex of stealing a $500K diamond.
Carole and Noreen settled in court this past week and an insider told Page Six that Noreen has to return the half-million-dollar bling. The battle over the 15-carat diamond started in 2017, when Carole sued Noreen to get the rock she’d worn as a ring for 30 years back from her estranged daughter-in-law. Roth turned the stone into earrings for Noreen to wear at their lavish wedding in 1996.
The couple have since been caught in an ugly divorce, and Carole claimed in the suit that Noreen borrowed the diamonds often, but then refused to return the baubles when she left Peter. Noreen’s side pointed the finger at Peter at the time, claiming he had been plotting to hide his cash in the event of a divorce, and that he enlisted his lawyers to help him. Her team also claimed Carole’s diamond lawsuit was just another veiled grab for assets, according to court docs obtained by The Post in 2017. As for the latest decision, Noreen’s lawyer did not comment. Peter told us in a statement, “I’m happy for my mother.”
