Prince Harry’s new television series for Apple TV+ alongside Oprah Winfrey has now been released. During one of the episodes, viewers were surprised Phillip Schofield made a fleeting appearance.

This Morning host Phillip was featured in a segment of the new show as Prince Harry discussed his and Meghan Markle’s landmark interview.

The pair appeared in March in a broadcast interview with Oprah as they discussed their exit from the Royal Family.

Now, Prince Harry has spoken out about the media’s reaction to it.

During his new documentary series for Apple TV+ called The Me You Can’t See, he opened up about this.

When asked if he still feels controlled by the media, he explained his opinion to Oprah.

He said: “No, they’re desperately trying to control the narrative because they know if they lose it, the truth will come out.”

To illustrate how he was speaking about his and Meghan’s interview, the show included a snippet from Phillip speaking on This Morning.

He can be heard saying: “We are starting today with a story dominating headlines around the world this morning.

“Last night, after weeks of speculation, we finally got to hear Harry and Meghan’s story as they sat down with Oprah for a tell-all interview.”

Prince Harry then continued to speak about the interview and its response from people.

He added: “I like to think that we were able to speak truth in the most compassionate way possible therefore leaving an opening for reconciliation and healing.

“The interview was about being real, being authentic, and hopefully sharing an experience that we know is relatable to people around the world, despite our unique privileged position.

Several other clips were also used to illustrate the response to their interview as well as This Morning

The new Apple TV+ series is produced by Oprah and Prince Harry and focuses on telling mental health truths.

The show features interviews with both of them, as well as other stars.

Among those included are Lady Gaga, Glenn Close and the San Antonio Spurs basketball player DeMar DeRozan.

Earlier this week, Phillip spoke out in defence of Prince Harry following his latest podcast appearance.

The Duke of Sussex had been a guest on Dax Shepherd’s Armchair Expert.

Speaking about his appearance on the show, Phillip said many of his quotes had been taken out of context.

He said on This Morning: “I went into it thinking, “Oh shut up Harry” but I came out of it thinking, ‘Good on you’.

“I thought he was very eloquent when he spoke about mental health.”

Phillip continued: “But he also said he’s damned if he does and damned if he doesn’t because no matter what he says, the headlines are cruel, there’s no support for him whatsoever.”

The Me You Can’t See is available to watch on Apple TV+ now.
