Piers Morgan: GMB host brutally dismantles the ‘spiteful treachery’ of Meghan and Harry

Piers Morgan, 54, has expressed his distain for The Duchess of Sussex Meghan Markle, many times and now has slammed her for “breaking up our royal family after fleecing the public purse”. Since the news broke about the Duchess and Prince Harry’s decision to step down as senior members of the Royal Family and work to become financially independent, he raged on social media and slammed it as “ spiteful treachery” against the Monarchy.

Taking to Twitter, Piers launched a wave of criticism against their decision in an abundance of tweets.

In view of his seven million followers he posted a series of opinions regarding the Royal situation.

“Wow. What a disgraceful way to treat The Queen. Shame on Harry & Meghan,” Piers wrote in response to one news outlet’s breaking story.

And, after actress Jameela Jamil, praised the pair saying “and that folks, is what power looks like,” the GMB host wasn’t having any of it.

He hit back saying: “No, that’s what spiteful treachery against your own family looks like.”

In another tweet he suggested he should be appointed at the Duke of Sussex.

Mocking the whole debacle that’s taken the nation by storm, he stated: “I’m from Sussex and prepared to step up.”

Fans flocked to the comments section to have a good laugh at the thought of “one of the most outspoken TV personalities in Britain” having any sort of royal responsibility.

“Princess Piers has a ring to it…” one fan laughed.

Another warned: “Don’t do it Piers! The title is cursed!”

A third said: “I would pay to see this.”

Others however, didn’t take so warmly to the idea.

“On behalf of Sussex residents, no thank you,” one snapped.

Piers also took aim at the Sussexes official statement, where they announced their decision.

“We intend to step back as ‘senior’ members of the Royal Family and work to become financially independent, while continuing to fully support Her Majesty The Queen.

“It is with your encouragement, particularly over the last few years, that we feel prepared to make this adjustment.

“We now plan to balance our time between the United Kingdom and North America, continuing to honour our duty to The Queen, the Commonwealth, and our patronages.

The news has left many fans of the Royal Family devastated and others happy that they are “paving their own way in life”.

But one thing is for sure, the outspoken ITV presenter will certainly have a lot to say on this mornings show!
