Prince Harry and William trying to get along for Queen despite being uncomfortable

Prince William and Prince Harry have been thrown back together recently in the most tragic of circumstances, as they grieve their beloved grandmother the Queen.

A source close to the Duke of Sussex, 38, has revealed that Harry is "trying" to get along with his brother, the Prince of Wales for the sake of his Granny, despite it being "uncomfortable" for him.

Since Elizabeth II's death on 8 September, the two brothers have made several public appearances together.

But sources close to Harry say that he finds it "difficult" to be in 40 year old William's company at the moment.

However, they added to The Times that the Duke is "trying his best".

Last week the pair, alongside their wives, Kate, the Princess of Wales, 40, and Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex, 41, delighted onlookers when they appeared together at Windsor Castle to accept flowers and well wishes from the public.

Once again, the quartet put their differences aside to honour the late monarch when they appeared together as part of the cortege moving the Queen's coffin from Buckingham Palace to Westminster Hall.

And on Saturday evening, William, the Prince of Wales and Harry, the Duke of Sussex, stood vigil with their Grandmother's coffin in Westminster Hall alongside their cousins.

On that particular occasion, Prince Harry wore military uniform, having been granted special permission from his father, King Charles III.

On previous outings, he had been unable to wear uniform after he was stripped of his military titles when he stepped down as a senior member of the royal family in 2020.

A friend of the brothers says that the joint appearance "take effort" on both of their parts, but they understand they must show "solidarity".

Reports also suggest that the two brothers also shared another brief encounter this week when William, who was collecting Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis from school, drove past Harry and Meghan who were travelling in a separate car.

They reportedly initially drove past one another but reversed back and rolled down their windows for a brief chat.

Relations between the pair worsened when the Sussexes conducted an interview with chat show host Oprah Winfrey in which they made a series of bombshell claims about the royal family and their life as working royals.

Meghan has since conducted a tell-all interview with US publication The Cut and also made revelations during the initial episodes of her Spotify podcast series Archetypes.

During her interview with The Cut Meghan claimed that she and Harry were "upsetting her hierarchy [of the Royal Family] just by existing."
