Rihanna expertly shades Donald Trump with her own song
Rihanna is the queen of many things and expertly shading others is near the top of the list, as the singer trolled Donald Trump this week.
Using one of her own songs, someone had brilliantly laid her 2016 hit Needed Me over the top of footage of Melania Trump and the president disembarking Air Force One.
It appeared that Trump was attempting to hold the first lady’s hand, however Melania was more interested in keeping her skirt down as she held onto the fabric in the wind, as well as her very, very expensive handbag.
Not really getting the message, Donald reaches out multiple times, at one stage just aimlessly pawing at her arm, before getting the message a slick hand hold as they met waiting cameras was not going to happen.
Sharing the clip – with the song that features the line ‘didn’t they tell you that I was a savage?’ – Rihanna simply wrote: ‘Melania likes art. #78days.’
The 78 days was a reference to the remaining days left before the election, in which Trump will go up against Democratic nominee Joe Biden.
She also appeared to harp back to an older post she shared over the weekend, where the mogul didn’t mince her words and shared the words ‘F**K TRUMP’ written in spray-paint.
Riri captioned that one ‘art’ and added #81days, showing there is a real glowing theme here on her ‘gram.
Her sassy posts have distracted us just long enough to take our minds off the album we’re still waiting on the superstar to drop.
The Wild Thoughts singer is yet to drop her elusive ninth studio album, which has been in the works over the past four years. Instead, RiRi’s been focusing on her fashion and beauty empire with brands such as Fenty Beauty, Savage x Fenty and now, Fenty Skin. Her last album, Anti, was released back in 2016 and fans have been desperate for new music ever since.
Delivering some rather exiting updates, she recently said during promo for Fenty Skin: ‘I started in music and music is still my first love so I can’t wait to put something out that I’m proud of and really excited about.
‘It’s probably going to be sooner than fans think but I’m just going to leave that alone because I’ve got enough stress and questions like, “R9, where’s the album?” They don’t leave me alone. I haven’t neglected them, I still got you. Music is still my baby.’
