Tonight, Adjoa Andoh, 58, was a guest on Strictly: It Takes Two where she discussed the remaining couples’ upcoming routines, alongside Angellica Bell and Stephen Bailey. Along with host Rylan Clark, the panel shared their thoughts on Rose Ayling-Ellis, 27, and Giovanni Pernice’s partnership.

As a VT played of the duo rehearsing for their upcoming Ballroom routines, Adjoa suggested Rose wasn’t “swooned” by the dancer, despite their intimate moves.

The Bridgerton star said it was good to see a “brilliant deaf actress” on the show who was “enjoying the music and enjoying the dance”.

She added: “And, not swooned by Giovanni either, she’s like, ‘Na, na, na just show me the steps’.”

Agreeing, Rylan said: “She’s wearing the trousers.”

Adjoa added: “And you can see him going, ‘OK’.”

“I think it’s fantastic, she’s a great actress,” she continued.

Tomorrow, each couple will perform two routines in the hope of making it through to the final next weekend.

The dancing duo will be performing a Waltz to to Ellie Goulding’s How Long Will I Love You and an Argentine Tango to A Evaristo Carriego by Eduardo Rovira.

Rose and Giovanni discussed their up close and personal routines on It Takes Two yesterday.

Janette Manrara showed viewers a video of them intimately in each other’s faces for a dance, followed by Rose complaining about her sweaty partner.

In the clip, the dancer jokingly hit back: “People will pay to have this sweat. People will pay to be that close with me!”

Giovanni split with his girlfriend Maura Higgins at the beginning of the series, while Rose has a boyfriend named Samuel Arnold.

The couple have been together for seven years and he has supported her through the process.

The EastEnders actress has made history as the show’s first ever deaf contestant.

Last month, the pair left viewers in tears when the danced in silence for 10 seconds to give viewers an insight into her world.

Rose has been deaf since she was born and relies on timings to get her steps right.

The dancer has said he already feels like he has won the show with the soap star.

He told The Sunday Times Culture: “If we win, it’s the cherry on the cake.

“But this year has already been phenomenal for me and Rose. Realistically, we have already won.”

The remaining couples are; Rose and Giovanni, John Whaite and Johannes Radebe, AJ Odudu and Kai Widdrington and Rhys Stephenson and Nancy Xu.

Strictly Come Dancing continues tomorrow night at 7.05pm on BBC One.
