He's rarely spotted without an ever-present baseball cap perched atop his head.

But Stacey Solomon’s partner Joe Swash was transformed as she posted a snap of him capless, cuddling up to son Rex and their dog Peanut.

Joe is known for always wearing a baseball cap on social media, causing some fans surprise as he appeared to not be wearing one in the sweet snap.

As Joe returned home, he posted a video to his Instagram story of himself preparing a BLT for Stacey with Rex.

In the video he showed a pan of bacon frying, saying: “made my Stacey her favourite, a BLT.

“I’ve been away and she’s been looking after the kids.

He then panned the camera to the rest of the kitchen, where baby Rex runs by the camera mopping the floor while Joe prepares the meal.

Joe continued: “I’ve got Rex doing the mopping, well done son, lets get this ready for mummy.”

Joe then shared a video of Rex adding the finishing touches to the prepares sandwich as he dropped a tomato onto the plate and they headed off to deliver the food to Stacey.

Stacey’s instagram story began with a video of Joe and Rex cuddling in bed as Stacey stroked their dog Peanut.

She captioned the video: “Got to wake up this morning to these three and a BLT, love u @realjoeswash we’ve missed you.”

The follow up image showed Peanut snuggled in with Joe and Rex as Joe kissed Rex on the cheek.

Stacey wrote: “HAPPY FRIDAY, hope you have a lovely Friday and here’s to the weekend.”

Joe and Stacey were seen together on Loose Women last week as Joe sat down via video link to be interviewed by the Loose Women in the studio.

While Stacey has been on maternity leave from the show, she was spotted in the background as Joe prepared to talk to the women.

Inviting Stacey on screen to join him, Stacey waved to her co-stars as they quickly asked how she has been doing while away.

Stacey and host Brena Edwards had a quick back and forth as Stacey told them she was in a rush to get things together before the baby girls arrival, with Brenda telling Stacey: “If anyone can do it, you can Stace!”

Stacey told the women she loved them and got up to leave, with Joe lovingly telling her off as she went by saying: “Go on, get out of it!”
