Strictly bosses have reportedly set their sights on Ryan Thomas after he completed 10 marathons in 10 days.

Corrie star Ryan Thomas has achieved an incredible feat, which hasn’t gone unnoticed by Strictly bosses.

It's reported he may soon be swapping his running shoes for tap shoes as a source told The Sun that Strictly bosses “think he'd be really good on the show”.

The source said: “Ryan turned the show down last year as he didn't want to be apart from Lucy [Mecklenburgh, fiancé] and baby Roman for that long, but he's been offered a place again this year and he's considering it – once he's rested his aching feet that is. Bosses think he'd be really good on the show.

"Everyone knows and loves him from Corrie and his ITV show."

The news follows Ryan’s staggering achievement of completing a 78-mile trek to raise money for Campaign Against Living Miserably (CALM) and to raise awareness for male suicide on mental health week.

Heartthrob Ryan met some famous faces along the way during his epic journey from London to Manchester, including Boyzone’s Shane Lynch and Keith Duffy.

He took to his Instagram story to say: “This challenge just keeps giving and giving. I mean we talk about [Keith] Duffy but we got one even better. He's got the biggest heart man to come all the way to see me today. Let me tell you something, he's brought one of my all-time legends growing up Abz [Five] I have never met the guy before and I'm literally starstruck."

The actor continued to gush: "If someone said to me as a kid you're going to be walking down the canals with Abz from five and Shane from Boyzone and Ben from Phats and Small I would be like, 'Shut up,' but I am. It's mad."

Ryan was greeted by fiancé Lucy Mecklenburgh, his young son Roman, his daughter Scarlett from previous relationship with Tina O’Briern, and his brothers at the finishing line in his hometown Manchester.

Lucy gave him a big kiss to congratulate him.
