Strictly’s Claudia Winkleman and Tess Daly meet their match at Madam Tussauds

And the two stars left onlookers agog as they posed beside their own wax doubles. Claudia’s model features her signature tousled brunette bob and heavy black eye makeup, while Tess’s twin perfectly captures her warm smile and flowing gold tresses. Tess, 50, gifted her waxwork a scarlet gown she wore on the BBC show. And Claudia, 47, wore identical make-up to match the model.

The presenters, who have co-hosted Strictly’s Saturday night live shows since 2014, even tried to copy the figures’ expressions as they posed with their life-sized replicas at Madame Tussauds.

But Claudia pulled a decidedly off-beat face.

The waxworks will join the existing Tussauds model of show judge Craig Revel Horwood, 54, at a new version of the Strictly Come Dancing Experience beside Blackpool’s Central Pier.

Visitors will have the chance to lift a replica glitterball trophy, try out a move on a Strictly dancefloor and even raise a score paddle from behind a recreated Strictly judges’ desk.

Matthew Titherington, general manager at Madame Tussauds Blackpool, said: “Strictly fever always spreads through the town when the show returns to Blackpool each year.

“Guests of all ages – and all dancing abilities – will be amazed by what we have to offer and we can’t wait to open our new in-house ballroom doors on July 19.”
