Taylor Swift fans convinced she's headlining Super Bowl Halftime show
Taylor Swift fans are convinced that she is gearing up to headline next year’s Super Bowl Halftime show, after a major NFL announcement.
The corporation confirmed that Apple Music has replaced Pepsi as their newest partner for the iconic show, with the Super Bowl final taking place on February 12, in Glendale, Arizona.
‘We are proud to welcome Apple Music to the NFL family as our new partner for the iconic Super Bowl Halftime Show,’ Nana-Yaw Asamoah, SVP of Partner Strategy for the NFL, said in a statement.
‘We couldn’t think of a more appropriate partner for the world’s most-watched musical performance than Apple Music, a service that entertains, inspires, and motivates millions of people around the world through the intersection of music and technology.’
Oliver Schusser, Vice President of Apple Music and Beats, added in a separate message: ‘Music and sports hold a special place in our hearts, so we’re very excited Apple Music will be part of music and football’s biggest stage
‘We’re looking forward to even more epic performances next year and beyond with the Apple Music Super Bowl Halftime Show.’
We would absolutely be down for that.
If Taylor does land the gig, she’ll be following in some very famous footsteps – Beyonce, Lady Gaga, Katy Perry, Madonna, The Weeknd and Bruno Mars are just some of the other names who have performed in the iconic slot.
Who could forget last year’s incredible line-up of Snoop Dogg, Eminem, Mary J Blige, Kendrick Lamar, Dr Dre and a surprise cameo from 50 Cent – which was watched by more than 120 million people and landed three Emmy Awards.
