The Most Devastating Breakups In 90 Day Fiance History
TLC’s 90 Day Finacé and its subsequent spin-off shows have become insanely popular among reality TV viewers. The show is filled with both romance and drama, and viewers just can’t get enough. For those who don’t know, 90 Day Fiancé follows U.S. citizens who have fallen in love with people from other countries and want to get married. Nonresidents can live in the United States for 90 days, but must get married in those 90 days to obtain a K-1 visa and remain in the U.S.
The show follows couples through the 90 days before their wedding, and spin-offs follow couples after their wedding, when they first meet, and even through the immigration process in other countries. And after eight seasons, each season still feels more dramatic than the last, and the ratings just keep climbing.
Sadly, not every couple gets their “happily ever after.” Many couples break up due to infidelity, financial troubles, or just the artificial nature of a 90-day romance. And while some couples have rollercoaster relationships that viewers know will end messily, even strong couples don’t always work out. Keep reading to see the most devastating breakups in 90 Day Fiancé history.
Colt and Larissa from 90 Day Fiancé broke up after Larissa was arrested for domestic battery
90 Day Fiancé‘s Colt Johnson and Larissa Dos Santos Lima’s tumultuous relationship began online on a dating website, until Larissa moved to Las Vegas from Brazil to be with Colt. The fight allegedly started after Larissa found Colt buying pornography, according to Entertainment Tonight. Photos of both Colt and Larissa with bloodied faces were posted online, and Larissa was arrested for domestic battery.
Colt told Entertainment Tonight in April he and Larissa hadn’t spoken since their devastating breakup in May 2019. “The only thing I want is to be left alone by Larissa,” Colt said.
