Tyler West shares unseen Strictly Come Dancing pictures amid post-exit blues

DJ Tyler West has admitted to feeling blue after his time on Strictly Come Dancing came to an end over the weekend.

It was a moment that head judge Shirley Ballas dubbed the “most difficult dance-off ever”, as all the celebrities had been excited to compete at the world-famous Blackpool Tower ballroom.

After going head to head against actress Molly Rainford, the 26 year old presenter became the eighth contestant to leave the dancing competition.

Having spent eight weeks rehearsing and performing, Tyler has reflected on his time on the hit BBC series with a sweet post on Instagram which he shared earlier today.

Clearly disappointed to leave the show, Tyler wrote in the caption:

“The blues are real, so here’s some unseen unreal bits…”

He shared several never before seen photos of himself and his cast mates, the first of which showed several contestants in matching pink outfits.

Joined by Fleur East, Kym Marsh and Will Mellor, the group smiled in their glitzy outfits as they posed on steps of the Strictly set.

Another shows Taylor outside the Blackpool Tower, wrapped in a suitably thick winter coat and joggers.

Fresh from rehearsals, he beams as Ellie Taylor joins the host outside the famous landmark in a black coat, matching leggings and a trendy Brenton cap.

In a later image, taken by Taylor at the beginning of the series, the entire cast is sat together as they start their Strictly journeys.

Some, like comedian Jayde Adams, had clearly already been hard at work in rehearsals that day as the celebs wore athleisurewear in the image.

Loose women host Kaye Adams was the only exception to this, as she wore a classic light blue wrap dress with a subtle white print.

Perhaps the most touching photo though is the final image, which shows Taylor alongside his professional dance partner Dianne Buswell mere moments after their exit from the show.

Despite their sadness, the pair pull silly faces for the camera and shrug nonchalantly.

Still in their respective silver gown and grey suit trousers, you can see in the back all that remains of the live show as it winds down.

The post prompted other Strictly stars to reach out to Tyler, with many leaving a heartfelt message for the DJ in the comments.

One Show host and LGBTQ+ advocate Richie Anderson wrote: “Tyler you are a legend…”

Meanwhile, Strictly professional dancer Carlos Gu said that he missed the present already, writing: “ur smile light up us all. Miss you already xx”

It’s clear how strong a bond Tyler has with his other co-stars and will have after the series finishes.

This was only emphasised by Molly Rainford’s message, as she wrote: “Strictly family for life”
