She visited the International Contemporary Art Fair for a science competition in Madrid.
The black gown is by designer & Other Stories and is still available online for £299.
The elegant midi dress featured short sleeves and a leather belt.
The mother-of-two combined it with Prada nude heels.
Queen Letizia finished the look sporting a pair of silver hoop earrings.
Following Spanish safety regulations, she wore a white face mask.
On this occasion, the queen opted for natural makeup with a dash of mascara.

She looked effortlessly chic in the leather dress and kept her hair tied in a low ponytail.
Fans took to social media to comment on Queen Letizia’s fashion choice.
Instagram user Marisol Sierra said: “So elegant as always.”
“I absolutely love the leather dress that Queen Letizia of Spain is wearing here!
“She’s 49 and looks fan-bloody-tastic!” Twitter user Sharon Williams said.
However, many didn’t like the royal’s outfit.
“She must be uncomfortable in that dress,” said user Elisabet Marco.
Another Instagram user, Natalia Valle, commented: “What a hideous dress, I’m sorry but it’s horrible especially with nude heels.”
Queen Letizia was last seen earlier this week while hosting a lunch for Colombian president Ivan Duque Marquez.
The Spanish royal joined her husband at the Royal Palace in Madrid to receive the president.
She wore a beautiful red silk dress and matching heels.
The gown was from Massimo Dutti, one of the queen’s favourite Spanish fashion brands.
