I did a Primark holiday haul and it totally humbled me – the shorts were so ugly I ended up crying on the floor | The Sun
A TALL fashion fan described her latest trip to Primark as a humbling experience after having a meltdown in the changing rooms.
The high street retailer Primark is either a hit or a miss – and sadly for one shopper, TikTok user Ami (@positivami), it was the latter.
Ahead of her cruise holiday, the young style enthusiast, from the UK, decided to find some last-minute outfits at the popular store.
At first, she said in her video, Ami was quite enthusiastic upon entering the shop, as she spotted numerous cute items.
However, some of these, unfortunately, were too short for the tall fashion fan and would come up at a rather awkward length.
''But they had some pretty hair clips and I love this colour blocking.''

Sadly for the Primark fan, the try-on haul did not improve in the changing rooms, where Ami was quickly humbled, first by a pair of grey shorts.
Giving the loose-fitting garment a thumbs down, Ami, who is just under 5'11'', said: ''These shorts were an absolute no.''
She then changed into a pair of smart, light green shorts – but despite sizing down, Ami immediately described the fit as ''ugly''.
With the shorts off, the tall style lover proceeded to try on a blue milkmaid dress with puff sleeve and a low V-neck cut.

''This dress seriously humbled me – I couldn't figure out how to get it on.
''And then when I did, it was just… it was alright,'' Ami didn't appear to be too amazed by the item.

''The back was really nice. But the front wasn't anything special.''
The shopper added she didn't end up spending money on it – and neither did she purchase the two tops she had picked up earlier.
One of them was a white top with the on-trend puff sleeve detailing and strings around the bust area – but although it was cute, Ami couldn't justify wasting £13 on it.
Describing the overall experience trying the clothes on, the Primark fan said: ''Ended up having a breakdown I said I wasn't gonna have.''
Luckily, Ami then had a browse around the Home section at the store, which has been branded as 'expensive looking'.
Although Ami did not reveal what she ended up buying, she did share a little snippet of her basket – and inside was sexy underwear, as well as a grey garment.
After sharing her experience, Ami's video was soon viewed over a whopping 250k times on TikTok, where others flocked to comments.
One ex-fan of the brand said: ''used to love primark but now I find the clothes don't sit nice anymore.. awkward fittings.''
A shorter fashionista added: ''I have the opposite problem at 5’1 everything is to long on me.''
''I Spent £80 on a small bag of stuff, it’s all going back because it’s mostly all too see through,'' another wrote.
