I saved hundreds on my Christmas pressies by shopping early at Sainsburys – I bagged Barbie, Lego and Paw Patrol goodies | The Sun

A BARGAIN hunting mum managed to bag a haul of top end toys for Christmas by starting her shop early and by doing this she saved hundred of pounds.

Posting her haul on the Facebook group extreme couponing bargains UK, mum Lorraine Wagstaff shared loot with the other 2.1M members of the group.

She wrote of her find: "Massive clearance sale In Sainsburys today! barbie sets reduced from £120/£100 each to £36/£30."

"Huge paw patrol toys from £70 to £32.50, Lego reduced from £40 each to £18.88 and nerf guns from £40 to £15! Saved £100’s."

Posting a picture to show off her gains, members were treated to a boot full of goodies.

The haul included two Barbie doll sets, some Lego sets, A Paw Patrol Marshall truck and a Nerf super soaker.

Members flocked to her the post to comment on the bargain finds and some questioned why Sainsburys were having a clearance sale.

One poster wrote: "Is there a reason why there marking them down even more."

A cynical member replied: "They are probably back down to their original price."

Another member commented that Sainsburys does a huge clearance sale every year just before Christmas.

However some members were quick to comment and congratulate the shopper on her bargain haul.

One member simply posted: "Thank you." and another said they were heading down to Sainsbury's to try and bag some bargains.

It's not the first time the bargain hunter has poster her finds to the money saving group.
