A MAKE-UP artist has demonstrated how she creates a flawless base with products that cost less than a fiver.
Monica, who goes by Mango Monica on TikTok, creates “no filter beauty content” and is a firm believer that cheap make-up is “amazing”.
In a recent video, she shared the first few high-street products she applies in her beauty routine.
And yes, you guessed it, Elf takes the cake.
“Starting off with skincare, I’m gonna moisturise my face with the Elf Holy Hydration Moisturiser and this retails for only £5,” she said.
“Then I’m taking the Holy Hydration Eye Cream and this retails for £10.

“I feel like these two products are so overrated.”
The moisturiser is also available in a bigger tub at £12 for big fans of it.
Monica also used the beauty brand’s £4 Squeeze Me Lip Balm in the shade Grape.
For anti-wrinkle protection, she applied Elf’s Suntouchable Whoa Glow SPF30 which comes in a small tube at £5 and a bigger one at £14.

“It’s a sunscreen and a make-up primer,” Monica explained.
“I feel like drugstore brands really step up their game when it comes to make-up.
“They’re definitely competing with the high-end make-up brands.”
The beauty whizz then went on to do her eyebrows with the Elf Brow Lift gel which comes in a little tub at £6 a pop.
“Amazing make-up doesn’t have to be expensive,” Monica quipped as she began filling in her brows.
“This instant lift brow pencil retails for only £3.”
Other cheap brands she likes are Wet N Wild and Rimmel London, which are both available to buy in the UK in Boots and Superdrug.
Monica has totted up a loyal following of 500k beauty buffs thanks to her no-frills reviews and money saving product recommendations.
