Lola Leon Stars in the Marc Jacobs Spring 2021 Campaign

Marc Jacobs is keeping it in the family. The celebrated New York designer enlisted Lola Leon (née Lourdes Leon) to front his spring 2021 campaign. She, of course, is the daughter of music and fashion legend Madonna, who Jacobs has known and collaborated with for nearly three decades.

The series of images, lensed by photographer Brianna Capozzi, features Leon in studio, dressed in a selection of pieces that are equal parts banjee, boujie, and a whole lot of cool. In one pic, the 24-year-old wears a floral tie-front cropped blouse with matching hot pants, accessorized with knee-high rainbow socks and fire-engine red peep-toe pumps. Another shows her in a black fitted blazer, shorts, and an exuberant pink rose-shaped bust, paired with posh black heeled Mary Janes. Throughout, Leon, sporting a fiery coif and long red fingernails, wears gold-plated daisy jewelry (a nod to Jacobs’s fragrance of the same name) and a selection of bags, including the Tote and the Snapshot.

This campaign isn’t Leon’s first foray in the fashion industry. Last summer, she starred in ads for indie label Miaou, alongside Paloma Elsesser and Ashley Smith. She has also collaborated with Gypsy Sport, MadeMe, Desigual, and Stella McCartney, and was the face of Madonna’s fashion line, Material Girl, in 2010. This partnership with Marc Jacobs, however, is her biggest, and most high fashion, yet—but it almost certainly will not be her last.

Since coming into her own, Leon has attracted a lot of buzz for her edgy style, which Jacobs is making use of in this campaign.
