The Royal Family has had many fashionable members over the decades, including Kate, Duchess of Cambridge, Meghan Markle and Princess Diana. Official outings are usually accompanied by a flurry of interest in what the royals are wearing, and often people will look for identical styles to purchase for their own wardrobes. But according to recent analysis, some royal women are far more fashionable than others based on online search interest.
Mobile casino comparison experts TopMobileCasino analysed Google search data to find out which royal women are searched the most online.
According to the data, Kate, Duchess of Cambridge received 9,010 searches with fashion-themed terms, making her the most-searched-for royal style icon.
The Duchess of Cambridge is often praised for her polished and classic ensembles.
Kate’s outfit choices are usually kept formal to reflect her status as a working royal, but she has been known to dress up for red carpet appearances from time to time.
In recent months, Kate dazzled at the latest James Bond premiere in a golden sparkly dress from Jenny Packham.
She also re-wore an Alexandra McQueen floor-length lilac gown for the Earthshot Prize awards in October.
Following closely behind Kate in the fashion rankings is Princess Diana with 6,000 searches, with the late Princess of Wales still widely regarded as a fashion icon today.
Princess Diana became a member of the Royal Family in 1981, and her entrance to royal life was marked by a stunning ivory wedding gown by David and Elizabeth Emanuel.
Diana’s extravagant wedding dress was only the start of her life as a royal fashion icon, with several of the late Princess’ gowns considered iconic.
Diana famously wore a black dress by Christina Stambolian, which was off-the-shoulder and featured a plunging sweetheart neckline.
Widely dubbed the ‘Revenge Dress’, Diana opted to wear the gown as news of Prince Charles’ infidelity was revealed in a TV programme.
Diana also made a floor-length blue gown famous by wearing it at a White House event in 1985.

Diana danced with US actor John Travolta in the velvet gown, earning it the nickname, the ‘Travolta Dress’.
In third place in the fashion rankings is Meghan Markle with 5,350 searches online.
Since joining the Royal Family in 2018, the Duchess of Sussex has become a global fashion icon.
Meghan wore a long-sleeved white gown by fashion designer Clare Waight Keller, artistic director of the fashion house Givenchy, for her wedding to Prince Harry.
She has since worn a number of iconic fashion ensembles while out on engagements.
Meghan colour-coordinated several of her outfits with Prince Harry last year when the couple visited the UK for their final round of engagements as senior royals.
Most recently, Meghan attended the Salute to Freedom Gala in New York wearing a bright red dress by Carolina Herrera.
In addition to Kate, Meghan and Diana, several other royal women are known to spark search interest in their style, including the Queen.
