Piers Morgan brands Meghan Markle a ‘two-faced control freak’ in scathing 10-point guide on how she can become a ‘popular Princess’ – The Sun
PIERS Morgan has launched another scathing attack on Meghan Markle as he advised her on how to be a ‘popular princess’.
The outspoken TV host banded The Duchess of Sussex a ‘two-faced control freak’ over how she’s handled the press and public.
Piers, who co-hosts Good Morning Britain with Susanna Reid, let rip at the 37-year-old, who’s recently faced a backlash over public spending and keeping Archie’s christening private.
Piers, 54, has been vocal in his criticism of the new mum in the past, after claiming she ‘ghosted’ him soon after meeting Prince Harry.
In his fresh tirade against the new mum, he listed his ten-point plan for how she can win over the public.
And a big part of that is accepting that she is a public figure, and to stop trying to demand privacy when out and about, for example at Wimbledon.
Meghan is said to have demanded people not photograph her while she was out watching tennis.
Piers said her behaviour was “shameful”, writing in the Mail: “Your ridiculous behaviour at Wimbledon this week showed me you haven’t understood that being a royal is very different to being a celebrity.”
And he referenced the outrage The Duke and Duchess of Sussex sparked after refusing to reveal who were Archie’s godparents, days after their £2.4 million bill for renovating Frogmore Cottage was published.
Piers added: “Nobody likes a two-faced control freak who wants to turn on and off the publicity tap when it suits her, especially when they’re paying for much of your lavish lifestyle.”
He called the refurbishment price-tag “outrageous extravagance”, claiming she deserved the negative press she and Prince Harry received.
The first piece of advice he delivered to Meghan was to “share, don’t suppress, basic information about your life”.
He advised her to “stop showing off” her “unimaginable wealth and luxury”, with her expensive and highly publicised baby shower simply shoving her wealth down the public’s throat.
Piers called the £300,000 event filled with A-listers "obscene", adding her use of a private jet didn't help her public image.
He compared the five-day bash to something the Kardashian’s would throw, suggesting she “cools the ostentatious jets”.
Pier's 10-point plan to be a 'popular princess'
- Stop bleating about privacy
- Share, don’t suppress, basic information about your life
- Stop showing off
- Don’t take the p*ss
- Avoid being a hypocrite
- Put your wokeness back to sleep
- Pack in your on-going PR campaign in the US media
- Forego silly tokenism
- Make peace with the Cambridges
- Plant trees, and do your duty
Piers also blasted the former actress for being a ‘hypocrite’, with her lavish lifestyle at odds with her and Prince Harry encouraging people to save the planet.
He wrote: “And if you’re going to persist in banging on about saving the planet on your Instagram page, maybe stop Harry taking helicopters for 100-mile car journeys hours just hours after he’s made a speech about the vital need to help the environment?”
His other pointers included forgoing ‘silly tokenism’, saying writing messages on bananas for sex workers was “patronizing and irritating”, and merely ‘ridiculed’ the women.
Piers also encouraged her to “make peace” with Prince William and Kate Middleton, with rumours of a feud dogging their relationship.
He advised she direct some of her “insatiable energy” into improving their relationship.
