Although St Patrick’s Day isn’t until tomorrow, March 17, racegoers at Cheltenham Festival arrived today wearing multiple shades of green. Many had also opted for fancy dress.

A group of men arrived at the racecourse wearing dark green suits with lighter, bright green ties.

They also had matching green hats and orange handkerchiefs tucked into their shirt chest pockets.

A woman posed for a photograph wearing a bright green dress with a Peter Pan collar, buttons, and a stylish belt.

She accessorised with green sheer tights and a large fascinator adorned with peacock feathers.

One guest showed up in a pair of bright green trousers and a shamrock printed jacket. His tie matched his blazer and he completed the look with a flat cap.

Others also opted for patterned suits. One man wore a multicoloured suit that looked as if paint had been splashed onto it.

His friend donned a floral, bronze-coloured suit over a crisp white shirt.

Another man wore a tweed jacket and waistcoat with a St Patrick’s Day hat and a fake, orange beard.

But not everyone was in fancy dress today. There were, as usual, plenty of wool coats, knee-high boots, and feathered fascinators.

One woman wore a Zara Tindall-inspired burgundy coat with gold buttons and a matching beret-like hat. The royal donned a burgundy coat over a navy blue blouse on the festival’s first day on Tuesday.

Her friend wore a sleeveless tartan jacket with a fur-lined neckline and black leggings.

She combined this with brown knee-high boots and matching brown gloves.

Tartan and brown knee-high boots seemed to be all the rage as other women also combined both trends.

Another woman opted for the boots and sleeveless jacket combo, donning the latter over a white, turtleneck jumper. Her garment also featured fluffy fur on its pockets.

One racegoer wore a cropped fur jacket with a tartan skirt and brown knee-high boots, combining three popular winter trends.

Another woman arrived wearing a long, shearling jacket, while another looked stylish in a blue and brown tartan print trousers suit.

A trio of women turned up at the festival wearing earth-coloured tones. One donned a brown fur-lined coat with knee-high suede boots, which were also brown.

Meanwhile, one of her friends wore beige trousres with a cropped, fur coat and brown loafers. The third friend’s look was a little different – she sported a purple, cropped jacket with a leather mini skirt.

She completed the look with knee-high black boots and a calfskin brown and white clutch bag.

One woman turned heads in a bright orange suit, complete with an eye-catching fur collar.
