ASOS first ever outfit rental edit has launched on Hirestreet with prices from £20

With wedding season on the horizon, it’s time for that annual – and often unsuccessful – rummage through the wardrobe to find an outfit that hopefully your friends won’t remember from last year. Luckily for us, rental platform Hirestreet has announced its new collaboration with major UK retailer ASOS, which means we won’t be repeating looks this year. Not only does this launch mean there is no need to re-wear your old dresses but there is also no need to purchase anything new – perfect for your purse and for the environment.

Featuring over 180 styles with a large focus on occasionwear pieces, there really is something for everyone, and for every occasion. ASOS items are in high demand and can often sell out before you get the chance to purchase them, so the ability to now rent these pieces, including those from the sought-after ASOS Edition and ASOS Luxe lines, is music to our ears.

The CEO of Hirestreet, Isabella West, shares: ‘In the UK in 2023, the average cost of attending a friend’s wedding is over £500. That’s why “wedding guest” is our most popular occasion category at this time of the year. We’ve loved working with the team at ASOS to curate this collection, and we strongly believe this will be our most popular brand collaboration to date.’

The pieces are available to rent from 4-30 days with prices starting from just £20, meaning you don’t have to spend crazy amounts of money on a dress you might only wear once. Hirestreet also offers a great two-for-£35 deal, so if you’re worried about the wrong sizing or fit, you can order two outfits to ensure you’ve got a back-up option.

Renting has become more and more popular over the years and we can see why. Being able to wear high-end or luxe pieces without paying the costly price tag, as well as reducing our carbon footprint and protecting the environment, even if only a little bit, is definitely worth it. Hirestreet has been helping to make fashion more circular and sustainable since 2018 and this recent collaboration with such a large retailer like ASOS is only going to make rental fashion more in demand.
