There has been no shortage of celebrity hair transformation since salons reopened after lockdown, from Jacqueline Jossa’s Kardashian-inspired styles to Stacey Solomon’s recent red ‘do.

But one of the most dramatic makeovers has come from Camila Cabello, who has taken the brave move to chop her almost waist-length locks into a chic shoulder-skimming style.

The Havana hitmaker is famously known for her mass of tumbling dark brown hair, usually worn in undone waves with a soft shaggy fringe. So this new haircut is a huge change – and is a completely new style for Camila.

“Lost my short hair virginity!!!! I’ve had long hair all my life it’s time to feel the air on these shoulders baby,” she captioned the Instagram post.

Her fans were obviously impressed, as the post accumulated almost 4 million likes and thousands of complimentary comments.

“So pretty!” wrote one.

“Love the short hair!” said another.

The photo was captured by her boyfriend, pop star Shawn Mendes. The two have been officially an item since summer 2019, with Camila recently sharing a cute snap of them locked in a tight embrace.

This new ‘do also showed off what looks like the singer’s naturally curly hair, with the new shorter lengths falling in pretty ringlets around her face. And Camila’s not the only celebrity to embrace her hair texture this year – Ariana Grande and Michelle Keegan have also delighted fans with sneak peeks at their rarely-seen natural waves.
