Cleanfluencer reveals 'secret weapon' lint roller tool for getting carpets clean
There are many tips you can use to get hair off of your carpets and soft furnishings.
From wrapping tape around your fingers (sticky side out) and going over the fabric to using a silicone broom, we’ve tried them all.
It’s always good to learn from the best, though, and Queen of Clean Lynsey Crombie has revealed her go-to to remove the dreaded dog hair from her carpets – and it only costs £2.99.
As the owner of a black dog, she deals with the same problem many pet owners do, using a specific type of lint roller to get rid of the build-up of hair from her stair carpet.
The Beldray gel lint roller is part of the brand’s Pet Plus+ range, and was shown on Lynsey’s Instagram story yesterday.
We’ve seen the Queen of Clean talk about lint rollers for lampshades and other areas before, but this one is a little different. Rather than paper strips which you remove after use, this is made of gel.
With a squeegee on the top, you swipe over areas where you want to pick up lint or fur. Then when you’re done, give it a rinse under the tap and it’s ready to use again.
It’s ideal for those areas like stairs where the vacuum just won’t comfortably reach. Plus, you can get one with a telescopic handle for £5.99, which you can use on floors if you find it harder to bend down.
Another cleaning item that house-proud people can’t get enough of is Elbow Grease spray.
If you’re ready to get your home spick and span before Christmas, we’ve compiled 27 uses for the multi-tasking cleaner, so you can make the most out of the one bottle.
