Inside Paris Hiltons incredible life from wild party girl and highest-paid DJ to mother

Paris Hiltonannounced on Tuesday that she had become a mother for the first time. The heiresswelcomed her first childvia surrogate with husband Carter Reum.

This latest life update has shocked fans, many of whom have been avidly following Paris’ life since the early 2000s.

Born into the Hilton Hotels fortune, as the great-granddaughter of Conrad Hilton, Paris’ father Richard Hilton formed a successful real estate business and his wife Kathy Hilton later found fame on the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.

Paris, who was born in New York City on February 17, 1981, was a rebellious teen with her parents eventually sending her to the Provo Canyon School in Utah, which catered to troubled children.

However, in her 2020 documentary This Is Paris, the socialite claimed that she was physically and mentally abused at the school, a claim reiterated by several other people who were enrolled at the school.

Paris alleged that she was drugged while at the school, subjected to strip searches and once forced to stay in an isolation room for 24 hours. Paris attended the school for 11 months until she turned 18.

Upon leaving the school, Paris was infamous for her party lifestyle. In 2001, she was featured in a sex tape filmed by her then-boyfriend Rick Salomon, which was leaked on the internet in 2003. Rick later sold a longer version of the tape himself.

In her 2020 documentary This Is Paris, she said that she had felt “electronically raped” by what her ex boyfriend had done with the video.

Rick went on to try to sue Paris for defamation. Paris, however, countersued Rick for the release of the tape. They settled out of court in 2005 with Rick paying her $400,000 and a portion of the profits.

The private footage came out just as she was ready to release her reality series The Simple Life, which saw her and friend Nicole Richie living with rural families and being exposed to blue-collar jobs.

Paris became a pop culture icon from the series, which ran for three seasons before issues with her relationship with Nicole led to its cancellation. However, the reality star's reputation took a hit after a number of run-ins with the law. The star received a DUI in 2006 and multiple subsequent driving violations which led to her being sentenced to 45 days behind bars in 2007.

Trying to turn her reputation around, Paris returned to reality TV with Paris Hilton’s My New BFF, which ran for two seasons, and began to invest more time and energy into her fragrance lines and DJing career to great success. At her peak, the star was the highest-paid DJ of 2014 and was reportedly earning as much as $1 million per appearance.

As of 2021,Varietyreported that Paris's brand – which consists of 45 stores, 19 product lines, and 27 fragrances – has surpassed $4 billion in global revenue, accounting for the majority of her massive net worth. Over the years, Paris has had her own clothing, accessories and pet toy lines, as well as brand partnerships, a podcast, a production company under Warner Bros. and an upcoming reality wedding show.

Throughout her life, Paris has also been linked to many famous faces including Leonardo DiCaprio, Backstreet Boys singer Nick Carter, and Sum 41 frontman Deryck Whibley

In 2005, she and Greek shipping heir Paris Latsis got engaged after eight months, before calling it off later that year. The actor Chrisy Zylka also proposed to her in early 2018, only for them to call off the engagement in November of that year.

In January 2020 Paris started dating her future husband and father of her first child. The businessman proposed to the reality star in February 2021 and nine months later they tied the knot in a lavish ceremony in Los Angeles.
