Man suffers horrific injuries after Stein glass smashed over head at Oktoberfest

A man has been left with serious facial injuries after being smashed over the head with a Stein glass.

Tim Urwin was outside the Barn Theatre in Cirenchester, Gloucestershire on October 6 last year when he was hit with the German beer glass.

The 24-year-old was left with deep cuts on his forehead, cheek and back following what he describes as a "completely unprovoked attack".

It is believed the attacker had been at a nearby Oktoberfest event.

Tim said: "This was a completely unprovoked and callous attack on me at the end of what was a good night out with friends.

"I have injuries on my face and back that have scarred me for life and they will be an everlasting reminder of this incident, of which I am now suffering with anxiety as a result of this mindless attack. 

"I really hope we can find the person responsible for this so that I can receive a little bit of closure."

The Barn Theatre is next door to Ingleside House, where Oktoberfest Cirenchester took place over two days last year.

For £15 a night attendees could enjoy a selection of German beer and street food to the sounds of an Oompah band.
