Meghan Markle’s "Free as a Bird" Earrings Are a Total Mood
I'm sure you're probably all caught up on the royal tea, which is piping hot and spilling all over the place right now. But for those who have somehow managed not to use the Internet, read, or watch the news this week, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have announced that they're stepping back as "senior" members of the Royal Family. Major, right? And now, even more juicy details have emerged about the days leading up to this big change.
Right before the freakout-worthy announcement, Markle made her first public appearance of 2020 wearing a Massimo Dutti outfit paired with dainty stud earrings shaped like birds. However, those earrings aren't just earrings, according to theorists out there. They believe that Markle might have been hinting to the world that she's about to be free as a bird.
I mean, it's possible, but it definitely sounds like a reach to me. Can't a girl just want to wear a cute pair of earrings and do so in peace?
Markle's exact earrings were made by an England-based brand Catherine Zoraida and retail for £120 (about $157). But, there is a gold dupe going for as low as $40 on Nordstrom's website right now.
Perhaps purchasing a pair will serve as a reminder to channel that "free as a bird" mood throughout 2020, regardless of whether or not that was the reason behind Markle wearing them. At the very least, these babies will add a little something extra to your look.
