Prince Louis wears same outfit as Prince Harry did for royal debut 30 years ago

Prince Louis attended his first royal engagement this weekend – and paid a sweet tribute to his Uncle Harry.

Little Prince Louis was spotted wearing the very same smocked shirt his uncle Harry wore at a Trooping the Colour event 30 years ago.

Adorable pictures of the one-year-old show him in the arms of his parents Prince William, 36, and Kate Middleton, 37, as they side the Queen on the day of her official birthday.

He is wearing a white and blue shirt with matching blue shorts, the very same outfit Prince Harry wore as he waved on from the Buckingham Palace balcony back in 1986.

Fans hastily spotted the similarity and took to Twitter to praise his mother for digging into the royal archive to find an outfit for her son.

One wrote: "Apparently Prince Louis wore what Harry wore when he was young. I love that royals keep their childhood outfits with them forever."

But it's not the first time his mother the Duchess of Cambridge recycles a royal outfit for one of the kids.

Five-year-old Prince George was in fact pictured in 2015  wearing the same frock his dad wore at his first Trooping the Colour back in 1984.

Meanwhile, at this year's event, Princess Charlotte stole fans' hearts with her blue floral dress, topped off by a Peter Pan colar.

The event, which marks the Queen's official birthday, saw the Duchess of Sussex emerging from her home in Frogmore Cottage, Berkshire, for the first time since giving birth to her son Prince Archie just over a month ago.

Meghan is understood to still be on maternity leave but attended the event in London due to the nature of the royal engagement.

She stunned onlookers as she waved to crowds from a horse chariot wearing a navy outfit designed by Clare Waight Keller.

The 37-year-old former US TV actress sat beside her husband Prince Harry and in front of her sister-in-law Kate, who in turn sat next to the Duchess of Cornwall.
