Shane Richie, 56, first began playing Alfie Moon in EastEnders back in 2002. The actor left the show in 2016 and then appeared in its spin-off RTÉ Drama Redwater in the following year. The actor is set to take part in ITV’s I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! this year which will see him take part in trials alongside a wealth of stars which includes journalist Victoria Derbyshire and Olympic champion Sir Mo Farah. Shane has had a successful career on the television screen and has amassed an eye-watering fortune.
Thanks to his acting talents, the star has built up a huge fortune from his various roles.

Born in Harlesden, London, he was a member of a youth theatre as a child, and began his professional career as a bluecoat entertainer at Pontins holiday camp on the Isle of Wight.
He then progressed to live stand-up comedy and in 1989, Shane made nightly appearances on Sky’s TV chat show series Jameson Tonight.
A year later, he made his first television appearance as one of the comics on the BBC One sketch show Up to Something!.
Shane has also released some albums, including The Album in 1997 and Once Around the Sun in 2000.
In 2009, Shane was reportedly scheduled as the opening act for Micheal Jackson’s concerts at the 02 Arena but this was cancelled following the King of Pop’s death.
In his personal life, Shane married Coleen Nolan in 1990 and the couple had two sons before they split up in 1997. The pair divorced in 1999.

Coleen, known for her regular panellist role on television chat show Loose Women, also starred in pantomimes while she was married to Shane.
However she was said to have earned a higher wage from her appearances, taking home £200,000 in 2017 for her role as the Fairy Godmother in 72 performances of Cinderella.
Shane later remarried and has three children with his current wife Christie Goddard.
Christie is an actress who has starred in shows such as The Last Dance, American Daylight and Hustle.
Shane has added to his bank balance with his multiple brand deals with several companies.
He became the face of the Daz adverts, replacing Danny Baker on the ‘Doorstep Challenge’ adverts.
In 2003 the actor also documented his rise to fame and fortune in his autobiography, Rags to Richie.
The book description reads: “The son of a dustman, Shane Richie has come a long way from the rough streets of London’s Harlesden.

Away from the television screens, Shane has also performed in musicals and pantomimes.
He reportedly earned £120,000 for his role as Robin Hood in Woking, a character he’s played for a few years running in different locations around the UK.
He has also had success in musicals, appearing in such musicals like Boogie Nights and London revival production of Grease.
Most recently, Shane starred in Everybody’s Talking About Jamie at the Apollo Theatre in 2019.
Shane is reappearing on the television screens tonight for the first episode of ITV’s I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here!.
The show is very different to normal this year, taking place in Gwrych Castle in Abergele, North Wales, rather than the Australian outback.
Nonetheless, Ant and Dec will be on site to host the live show each night and other contestants include Vernon Kay, AJ Pritchard and Giovanna Fletcher.
