Supermarkets are ALREADY selling Easter eggs just days after Christmas

Christmas was a only three days ago, yet supermarket giants are already preparing for the next major holiday by rolling out Easter eggs  across their seasonal aisles.

Dozens of baffled shoppers have reported seeing chocolate eggs on display in Tesco, Waitrose and Co-op stores across the UK.

And some even claim to have spied the Easter treats being stacked on the shelves before Christmas Day – as many took to social media to share their disbelief.

Despite it being four months until Easter, which takes place on April 4 next year, Cadbury’s Creme eggs, caramel treats and chocolate orange are all on display and ready to be snapped up before New Year.

Taking to social media over the weekend, many shared their shock at the chocolate treats on offer.

‘Co-op in Walworth Road already has the Easter eggs and chocolate bunnies,’ said one.

‘ FFS co-op Easter Eggs already!’ added another.

‘I saw caramel Easter eggs in Tesco today,’ said a third, followed by an embarrassed emoji.

Some even claimed they spotted them on sale when they headed to the shops on Christmas Eve to pick up some last minute treats.

‘Mum was in the co-op on Christmas Eve and they had Easter eggs on sale,’ one said.  

‘Our supermarkets had Easter eggs in on Christmas Eve,’ wrote another.

Last year, Cadbury’s baffled fans by announcing it’s Easter 2020 range in October 2019. 

The chocolate company sold tubs of Creme Eggs and Mini Eggs last year, in a similar style to Christmas-time Roses or Quality Street.  

Shoppers joked they needed to ‘at least get through Christmas first’ after being left confused that the spring range was launched before Halloween.

Many shoppers were left baffled taking to Twitter to question why the Easter eggs had gone on sale so early
