Teen left outraged at school dinner as they compare it to WW2 ration
A student has been left outraged by their school dinner as they likened it to something you would get in a WW2 ration.
The brutal remark came after the youngster posted a snap of their very beige looking dinner to Reddit.
You would think feeding the youth would consist of a balanced diet – loaded with veg, carbs and meat.
However, for this teen, their lunch time meal looked anything but healthy nor appetising.
The dinner that set them back £2.50 included 12 wedges, one onion ring and a piece of chicken that has been likened to a “budgie”.
Not what you want to munch on when you are studying!
The teen was gobsmacked at what they were served and titled the post: “My school 'meal' cost me £2.50 and they give me a WW2 ration.”
But, the student was not the only person to be horrified at the portion size.
Shocked at the state of the school dinner, many people fled to the comments to slam the lacklustre plate of food.
One person commented: “Urgh. That's grim. Tiny bit of chicken, few chips and one onion ring.”
Another user mocked: “Current state of Britain on a plate.”
While a third person voiced: “A WWII ration probably had more veg then that. Even that aside, that portion is just laughable.”
Someone else slammed: “That's chicken? I thought it was a whole budgie.”
As a fifth person noted: “Tighten the belts again. Sure there are grim times ahead…”
And, a parent admitted: “This is why my kids asked for packed lunches..”
