Teen Mom star Leah Messer has opened up her fears about dating after splitting with her ex-fiancé, Jaylan Mobley.
The 31-year-old reality TV star spoke exclusively to DailyMail.com about how ‘difficult’ it can be to date ‘with cameras around’ following her return to the MTV franchise on Teen Mom: The Next Chapter that is currently airing.
And there’s no doubt that being a mom to twins Aliannah Hope and Aleeah Grace, 13, as well as Adalynn Faith, 10, keeps her busy.
‘I think that it can be very difficult to date with the cameras around. You just never know someone’s intentions,’ Leah told DailyMail.com.

‘So, you get to figure those out, you get to learn those. And I don’t have a love life, with my kids, I do. As far as dating, I’m really not interested in any kind of distractions right now. I think that I will attract what’s meant for me and our lives.
‘I would enjoy that, someone to build with, grow with, make money with, absolutely. But at this time in my life, your girl’s lacking in the love department and the sex department, just saying.’
Leah, from West Virginia, and Jaylan, 26, split in October last year two months after they got engaged.
At the time, the couple expressed gratitude for the good times they shared while announcing their shock breakup.
‘While the last year has been tremendously exciting for both of us, we’ve realized that it’s best we walk separate paths,’ they said on Instagram.
‘We are so grateful for the lessons, growth, and memories we’ve had in this relationship. So many of you have watched our love story unfold, and we hope that you’ll continue to watch our stories while we move forward as friends.’
They ended their statement by saying: ‘We will forever have love and respect for each other, and we ask for privacy as we refocus and transition out of this chapter together.’
Leah was previously married to Corey Simms, with whom she shares Aliannah and Aleeah, from 2010 to 2011.

In 2012, she tied the knot with Jeremy Calvert, and the pair welcomed Adalynn during their time together. They split in 2015.
During her chat with DailyMail.com, Leah also gushed about how ‘proud’ she was of her daughters.
‘They have incredible, unique personalities and it’s so cathartic for me to be able to see everything that I’ve educated myself on to build a better foundation, come to fruition in their lives and in their journeys,’ she said.
‘And I know that they’re not going to be perfect, but I tell them each and every single day, I think we are all imperfect human beings. We’re going to face challenges and we’re going to allow them to grow us.
‘But I want to see more of the kids on the show because each one of my kids are absolutely amazing.’
Leah was also joined by fellow costars Catelynn and Tyler Baltierra, both 31, who were conscious about not passing on ‘intergenerational traumas.’
‘I think I’m just proud that our girls are going to be able to witness Tyler and I continue to break some of these intergenerational traumas that will not be passed onto them,’ she said.
‘I think it’s important to show people too, no matter how hard it is, it can be done.’

The couple share – Rya, 21 months, Vaeda, 4, and Novalee, 8 – grow.
The couple also put first child Carly, who is now 14, during their time on MTV’s 16 & Pregnant in 2009
As for Tyler, he said he loved watching the daughters he shared with Catelynn – Rya, 21 months, Vaeda, 4, and Novalee, 8 – grow. They also have 14-year-old Carly, who they put up for adoption in 2009 during MTV’s 16 & Pregnant.
‘Especially Nova… she’s very wise, very intelligent for her age. And that is a testament to our parenting. And it’s like that’s the biggest joy for me to watch her be curious,’ he said.
‘I watch her talk to her friends, and she’ll correct them on certain things. She’ll educate them on certain things. She’s humble enough to say, I’m sorry and I made a mistake.
‘And those kinds of things that I don’t care if your kid can talk Chinese, Japanese, play the violin, all that s***’s great, but if they’re not a kind person and a compassionate human being, then you failed as a parent.
‘So, in my opinion, watching her be kind, be compassionate and be curious. I’m proud of myself, I’m proud of us, I’m proud of our children.’
The couple, who have been together since 2005, also hit out at trolls who picked apart their relationship.
‘You can go see on my Instagram what I posted today… they feel like Tyler just belittles me or body shames me. And honestly, I think it’s ridiculous,’ Catelynn told DailyMail.com.
They share four daughters together, the eldest of whom, Carly, was adopted upon her birth
As for Tyler, he said he loved watching the daughters he shared with Catelynn – Rya, 21 months, Vaeda, 4, and Novalee, 8 – grow
‘I think that they saw one clip from [the TV show] nine years ago and they don’t know the context of it because also some stuff was edited from that conversation, and we literally had no drama that season.
‘And so that kind of annoys me because, especially being a mom of all girls, if you think that I’m just going to sit here and stay in a relationship with somebody who body shames me in front of my daughters, you are out of your mind because they will learn that that’s OK.
‘Tyler is a great husband, he’s a great dad to all the girls. He even talks about body positivity to our girls all the time.’
She added: ‘I spoke my piece about it and now I’m kind of over it. Let people believe whatever they want to believe now.’
Tyler said he was on the same page as Catelynn when it came to rumors because there were ‘so many’ out there.
‘One minute I’m body shaming her. One minute I’m gay, I don’t even like her. So, it’s like they got to pick and choose what conspiracy theory you want to believe,’ he further explained.
‘I don’t know what to tell you, but I stay fervently living in my truth and whatever is displayed out there, it is what is, so take it as you want.’
When asked if he still had an OnlyFans to show off his body transformation journey, Catelynn joked, ‘Yes he does. If you would like to see more,’ with her quipping that she was his ‘wifeager.’
Tyler added with a laugh: ‘I’m telling you, this is a mom boss over here.’
