Tori Spelling’s decision to put her and her five kids in a motel is unrelated to her split from Dean McDermott, according to a new report.
A source told Us Weekly Tuesday that the “Beverly Hills, 90210” alum booked rooms at the $100-per-night establishment in Los Angeles because of the ongoing mold issue in their marital home.
“Tori and Dean are doing really good and her staying at a hotel with their kids has nothing to do with a separation,” a source told the publication.
“They decided to stay there because of the ongoing mold problem at their house. Tori is taking this issue very seriously and isn’t going to subject herself or her kids to that.”
Spelling, 50, was photographed leaving the no-frills roadside establishment Saturday with Liam, 16, Stella, 15, Hattie, 11, Finn, 10, and Beau, 6.
Spelling had been forced to move her family out of a rental home earlier this year upon discovering an “extreme” mold infestation that caused them to suffer serious health issues.

The “Tori & Dean” alum claimed in May that the mold had been “slowly killing” her family for three years and asked her fans to recommend a lawyer.
Just weeks later, the former “Chopped Canada” star announced his and Spelling’s split after 17 years of marriage.
“It’s with great sadness and a very very heavy heart that after 18 years together and 5 amazing children, that @torispelling and I have decided to go our separate ways, and start a new journey of our own,” McDermott, 56, shared online in mid-June.
The actor — who also shares son Jack, 24, with his first wife, Mary Jo Eustace — added, “We will continue to work together as loving parents and guide and love our children through this difficult time.”
McDermott was subsequently seen moving his belongings into storage, while Spelling was photographed wearing a “Boys Lie” T-shirt.
